Patti Stanger, the host of cabler Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker, has apologized for saying gay men can't be monogamous.

During an appearance on the season premiere of Watch What Happens Live, Stanger told a caller that an open relationship for gay men isn't a problem because there is “no curbing the gay.”

Host Andy Cohen was shocked when Stanger complimented a gay man for looking straight.

“Why is being straight a compliment?” Cohen, who is gay, asked.

“Because he's not queeny,” Stanger answered. “Like you want a queen. Yeah, I don't think so.”

Stanger, the founder of the Beverly Hills-based Millionaire's Club, a dating service that caters to wealthy men, apologized in a statement to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

“I am sorry. I did not mean to offend anyone with my comments last night on Watch What Happens Live,” Stanger said.

But she wasn't backing down during an appearance on the Joy Behar Show. Stanger told host Joy Behar that gay men “whip it out on eye-lock” and that her comments on monogamy were only directed toward gay men living in Los Angeles, which she referred to as “player town.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
