Sofia Vergara, who plays Gloria
Delgado-Pritchett on the ABC comedy Modern Family, says she
has a girl crush on Halle Berry.
In an interview with gay glossy The
Advocate, the 39-year-old Colombian beauty also said she
“loves” her gay fans.
“I've always had plenty of gay fans,
even back in Colombia, probably because I'm voluptuous and a little
over the top. Gay men always tell me how fabulous I am. I think
they want to be Gloria,” Vergara said.
When asked about her celebrity girl
crush, Vergara answered: “I have many, but I love Halle Berry.
She's perfection. Every time I see her, I want to give her a
standing ovation because she's so flawless.”
Last year, Vergara recorded a PSA in
Spanish for GLAAD's Be an Ally and a Friend campaign. The
actress said she participated in the campaign because “we should
all be tolerant and respectful of people's sexuality.” (The video
