True Blood star Anna Paquin say
bisexuals suffer from discrimination.
The 28-year-old who plays Sookie
Stackhouse on the increasingly gay-inclusive HBO vampire hit True
Blood, announced she's bisexual soon after she became engaged
last year to co-star Stephen Moyer, who plays vampire Bill Compton.
In
a Give A Damn video ad to benefit singer Cyndi Lauper's
anti-homophobia group True Colors, Paquin said, “I'm Anna
Paquin. I'm bisexual. And I give a damn.”
The revelation created such interest
that the website hosting the video crashed due to “enormous
traffic,” the AP reported.
Nevertheless, in
the July issue of fashion glossy V Magazine, Paquin stated
that nobody cares about her sexual orientation.
“Frankly no one had eve asked me
before,” Paquin said.
“There is a lot of prejudice against
us but the more people talk about it, the less of a deal it will be,”
she added. “Who people choose to sleep with – or spend their
lives with – shouldn't matter, not that anyone particularly cares
who I'm attracted to.”
In True Blood's season 3
premiere, Rutina
Wesley's Tara revealed she's in a lesbian relationship.
