There is clearly something to the rumor
that True Blood co-star Ryan Kwanten might be gay, because it
keeps popping up. But new hints suggest it might be his Jason
Stackhouse character who will come out gay as HBO debuts its fourth
season of the vampire drama on June 26.
Speculation over Kwanten's sexual
orientation was first prompted by a BlindGossip.com post earlier this
month that asked, “What HBO star is going to be coming out of the
closet soon?”
The ante was raised when celebrity
blogger Perez Hilton, who is gay, wrote on his personal
Mario Lavandeira Facebook page that Kwanten is gay and social
media website Dlisted.com said the blind item was referring to
Kwanten.
Now comes a new hint, this time from
Michael Ausiello, who reported at his TVLine.com website that series
creator Alan Ball was altering the sexual orientation of one of the
show's straight characters.
“I'm not going to reveal any more
clues about the character,” Ausiello
wrote. “However, I will say that, having witnessed the big
reveal, it doesn't feel gimmicky. In fact, after the initial shock
wears off, I imagine you will do what I did and go, 'Yeah. Makes
total sense.'”
Would that makes sense? Kwanten's
character on the show is a womanizer.
