Hangover 2 star Bradley Cooper recollects his gay role in the comedy Wet Hot American Summer.

The 2001 film directed by David Wain was a commercial and critical flop – earning a meager $295,000 in the United States – but has since become a cult hit. Many of the film's stars have gone on to stardom, including Jeneane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon and Amy Poehler.

In Cooper's first feature film, he played Ben, a gay man who made out with Michael Ian Black's McKinley in a sports shed.

In a cover story for mens fashion glossy Esquire, Cooper recalls the sex scene: “I remember saying, 'What if we wear tube socks, and I'll go up on the wall, and you'll come from behind me.' And I said in the scene, 'Say my name,' and Michael says, 'Ben!' And I say, 'No! Say my Christian name,' and he whispers, 'Benjamin,' and that's when I came.”

Cooper also played gay in last year's Valentines Day. In the film, viewers are unaware that Cooper's Holden and Eric Dane's Sean are a couple until the film's final frames.
