Actor Armie Hammer has said kissing his
J. Edgar co-star Leonardo DiCaprio wasn't “weird.”
Hammer and DiCaprio star in the
upcoming Clint Eastwood-directed film of the life of FBI director J.
Edgar Hoover.
DiCaprio plays the lead role in the
movie, while Hammer, the 24-year-old co-star of The Social
Network, plays Clyde Tolson, Hoover's co-worker and alleged
lover.
J.
Edgar
screenwriter Dustin Lance Black previously promised a “tender”
kiss for the men.
Hammer talked about the experience
during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada.
“It wasn't weird – I have never
kissed a guy – it's not something I'm going to do in my private
life, but at the end of it I was, like, man there is a lot of weird
hype.”
Hammer added that he and DiCaprio, 36,
had formed a “special relationship” while filming.
“You always have a special
relationship with someone when you finish a movie with them, but he's
got a bunch of stuff he is doing after that, I've got a bunch of
stuff I'm doing … we didn't start a book club together or
anything.”
