Another gay kiss, another controversy?
After the Fox musical-comedy hit Glee aired a kiss between
Blaine (played by Darren Criss) and Kurt (Chris Colfer), social
conservatives – including
Glenn Beck – suggested the show was pushing a gay agenda. Now
comes word that an ABC comedy will broadcast a kiss between two men.
In next Wednesday's Happy Endings
episode, titled You've Got Male, a big coffee chain threatens
Alex's business. In a photograph released by the network, Pally's
character is seen kissing Ian, played by Max Greenfield.
According
to the episode's description, Max and Ian are dating: “Max
decides to organize a small business protest when a big coffee chain
moves next to Alex's shop, not realizing that the new place is owned
by Ian (Max Greenfield), the cute new guy he just started dating.”
Greenfield played Michael, a gay
student, on the ABC Family sitcom Greek. The Greek
episode Tale of Two Parties featured the network's first gay
kiss between Michael and Calvin, played by Paul James.
ABC will broadcast two episodes of
Happy Endings starting at 10PM on Wednesday.
