Actor Neil Patrick Harris has denied a
rumor that his relationship with David Burtka is on the rocks.
Harris, the star of CBS' How I Met
Your Mother, and celebrity chef Burtka entered a California
domestic partnership in 2004. The couple welcomed twins Gideon Scott
and Harper Grace, who were born via a surrogate, on October 12, 2010.
celebrity website CelebDirtyLaundry.com suggested that Harris had
an affair with dancer Sonny Fredie Pedersen. Harris and Pedersen
performed together at the 2010 Oscars, which Harris hosted.
“Apparently, Harris paid the dancer
to keep quiet and never expected that anyone would find out about
it,” the website wrote. “He's [Burtka] devastated – ever since
Harris and Burtka had their babies, they have been living in a love
bubble and Harris fears that this could end their relationship.”
“Just saw this,” Harris, 37,
tweeted with a link to the story to his more than 1 million
followers. “Total bunk, absolute nonsense. Annoying. Thanks for
needlessly worrying David. 'Preciate that.”
Harris just wrapped up a three-day run
of Stephen Sondheim's Company with Broadway diva Patti LuPone
and Stephen Colbert.
