The Gay Avenger, the champion of the
Pro Gay Wrestling Federation, (PGW) wants Michael Cole suspended for
tweeting a gay slur, TMZ.com reported.
Cole is the announcer for World
Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He appears on all major WWE
programming, including Raw, NXT, Smackdown and pay-per-view
broadcasts.
The
play-by-play announcer tweeted “faggot” to fellow announcer Josh
Mathews on Saturday.
Cole subsequently deleted the message
and apologized: “I apologize to any and all who were offended by my
tweet toward young Josh Mathews. It was obviously not meant the way
it was taken.”
The Gay Avenger told the celebrity
website that he's furious that the WWE has not reprimanded Cole.
The comments, he said, encourage a “hostile bullying environment.”
PGW CEO and founder Francis Minks
disagreed.
“How can ANYONE at the WWE say
anything derogatory about gay people?? Look at what they do and have
been doing for a living for years! Big muscles, small tights rolling
around! I'm just saying, honey.”
“People in glass houses shouldn't
throw sconces!” he added.

PGW is produced by the over-the-top Ariztical Entertainment,
which brought us The Gay Bed and Breakfast of Terror!)
