Rapper 50 Cent denies a Thursday tweet
was anti-gay.
The 35-year-old entertainer tweeted to
his more than 3 million followers: “If you a man and your over 25
and you don't eat pu**y just kill your self damn it. The world will
be a better place. Lol.”
The tweet came on the same day that
authorities identified the body of Tyler
Clementi, a gay Rutgers University student who killed himself after
being taunted about being gay.
Last month, gay groups called on Fiddy
to apologize for tweeting that he had a “homie shoot up a gay
wedding” because celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who is openly gay,
called him a “douchebag.” Fiddy, also known as Curtis James
Jackson III, attached a photo of two suited men fleeing an angry mob
and added that the wedding wasn't Hilton's but it “still made me
feel better.”
But in a series of tweets Friday, 50
Cent denied he's anti-gay.
“The other night I made a joke about
a blow job. My male followers enjoyed it. So I then went on to joke
about women receiving the same. … Some how they turned a simple
joke about oral sex into a anti gay statement. I have nothing
against people who choose an alternative life.”
“Style in fact iv publicly stated my
mom loved women. It funny how people think negative statements are
news worthy but positive statements … Are not worthy of coverage.”
