Producers behind Bear
City
have begun casting and say filming will start in August.
Bear City is the romantic comedy
that follows the lives of a pack of New York City bears and cubs.
Boyish and thin Tyler is a closet bear
chaser who falls into a den of hot bears when he boards a room from
Fred and husbear Brent. Tyler is working at the local bear coffee
shop when Roger, a stroke magazine hot musclebear, walks in. Does
barely legal Tyler have a shot with the perfect bear?
If that set up sounds familiar, it
should. Producers concede Bear City is the hirsute Sex and
the City of the gay community. And one of only a handful of
movies to focus on the evolving bear scene.
Veteran comic actor Fred Willard has
already signed up to play one of the bears, Fred, described in the
casting call as “masculine yet sassy.”
Bear City is from the folks who
brought you Another Gay Movie and Bear Cub.
