A gay man living in Sarasota, Florida told a local news station that he was stalked and attacked by a man who said he was acting in the name of President-elect Donald Trump.

Chuck Redding, 75, told WFTS-TV that he noticed a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee following him as he drove home. The man confronted him when Redding decided to park in front of a neighbor's house.

Redding described his attacker as a Hispanic man with a beard and believes he singled him out because of the pro-LGBT stickers on his car, including one that features President Barack Obama.

“He yanked the door open, dragged me out, ripped my shirt – I was on the pavement,” Redding told the outlet.

“He kept saying, 'You know, my new president says we can kill all you faggots now,'” he added.

Redding said that he suffered cuts, bruises and abrasions in the attack. Police are investigating the incident.
