During an appearance Wednesday on The
Ellen DeGeneres Show, out singer Ricky Martin announced that he's
engaged to marry boyfriend Jwan Yosef.
Host Ellen DeGeneres asked how they
met.
“He's a conceptual artist and I'm a
collector,” Martin answered. “So I started looking for art and I
saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does –
really original – and I contacted him.”
“So you collected him?” DeGeneres
joked.
Yosef, who is in his early thirties, is
a Syrian-Kurdish Swedish painter based in London, England. Martin,
44, told DeGeneres that they have been together for about a year.

“I proposed,” Martin said, adding
that he was very nervous.
