During an appearance on Sirius XM's
Inner Circle, Jonathan Knight of New Kids on the Block
described how he proposed to his boyfriend during a recent vacation
in Africa.
Knight and Harley Rodriguez have been
together for more than eight years.
“I just figured this was the time to
pop the question and make it official,” Knight told host Jenny
McCarthy on Tuesday.
“I went out and bought rings three
weeks before we left for Africa. He had no clue,” he said.
While on a raft on the Zambezi river,
the fourth-longest in Africa, Knight popped the question.
“There were hippopotamus in the
background and we saw crocodiles swimming by and everything,” he
said. “Oh, and it was a super moon on top of that. So, it was
absolutely beautiful and romantic.”
Knight added that he did not get down
on one knee to propose, saying that they're not really that type of
couple.
