Beyonce, Jay Z, Katy Perry are the
latest in a string of celebrities to endorse Hillary Clinton's
presidential ambitions.
Megastar music couple Beyonce and Jay Z
endorsed Clinton during a rally in Ohio on Friday.
“Less than 100 years ago women did
not have the right to vote,” Beyonce told a crowd in Cleveland.
“Look how far we've come from having no voice to being on the brink
of making history.”
Jay Z added: “Our soul is colorless,
and I want to grow up in a world where my daughter has no limitation,
where our daughter has no limitations, she feels like she could be
whatever she wants to be in the world. And this other guy [Donald
Trump], I don't have any ill-will towards him, but his conversation
is divisive and that's not an evolved soul to me, so he cannot be my
president. He cannot be our president.”
Katy Perry made her endorsement at a
rally and concert in Philadelphia.
“I admire so many things about Hillie
C,” Perry, dressed in an American flag, told the crowd. “I agree
with many of her informed, educated policies. I think Hillary
recognizes all of our voices and she hears us, she sees us, and she
knows that we're stronger together.”
Clinton appeared at both events.
Other stars who have endorsed Clinton
include Cher, Madonna and comic Louis C.K.
