Former Congressman Barney Frank on
Tuesday predicted a “decisive” victory for Hillary Clinton on
Election Day.
Frank made his comments during a speech
at the University of Maine School of Law, the Portland
Press Herald reported.
At the end of his talk, Frank was asked
by an audience member what the headlines will be on November 9.
“Clinton wins decisively,” Frank
responded.
The 76-year-old Frank, a Democrat who
represented Massachusetts in the House for 32 years, also said that a
Clinton win will lead to a loss of power for more conservative
Republicans who have dominated the GOP over the last few election
cycles.
Frank has the distinction of being the
first openly gay member of Congress and the first to enter a marriage
with a member of the same sex. He married Jim Ready in 2012. The
couple resides in Ogunquit, Maine.
