A suitor on Logo's Finding Prince
Charming came out HIV-positive in the latest episode of the
reality series dubbed “the gay Bachelor.”
Eric Leonardos, who is among the 13 men
vying for the heart of Robert Sepulveda, Jr., described by producers
as one of the “nation's most eligible gay heartthrobs,” comes out
to fellow contestant Justin Roisom, a 29-year-old model and project
manager from Seattle, Washington, on Thursday night's episode.
“The masquerade party is about
revealing something about yourself that you don't maybe reveal to
other people or you haven't revealed to someone yet,” Leonardos
told Roisom. “And so, you know, my mask is red. It's because
… ten years ago I found out that I was HIV-positive.”
Upon hearing the news, Roisom
immediately reached out for Leonardos' hand.
In a private video, Leonardos, 35, said
that he wanted to talk about his status with someone in the house
before telling Sepulveda.
Sepulveda and Lance Bass, the show's
host, previously confirmed that one of the suitors on the show was
HIV-positive.
