Hughie Maughan and Ryan Ruckledge, who
appeared on the 17th season of the reality competition Big
Brother UK, announced their engagement on Thursday.
“So the cats out of the bag me and
@hughie_maughan are officially engaged!,” Ruckledge tweeted. “So
happy and can't wait for the future #biggaygypsywedding ??”
Ruckledge's tweet also included
emoticons of happy tears, an engagement ring, two men holding hands,
a heart and a wedding chapel.
Maughan's tweet included the same
emoticons save for the happy tears: “FINALLY me and ryan can
announce that we are officially ENGAGED! We are so happy and
[everything] feels right, huge hi five 2 the doubters.”
The men quickly became an item after
meeting in the Big Brother house earlier this year.
Ruckledge said in a tweet that they
wanted to keep details of how they proposed private.
“We don't want to comment on the
special crazy moment and how it happened we love you all and we are
happy but we want to keep it private X,” he wrote.
