MTV's documentary series True Life
will focus on survivors of America's deadliest mass shooting.
Forty-nine people died and dozens more
were injured when a lone gunman opened fire in a gay nightclub, the
Pulse, in Orlando.
The July shooting was the worst in U.S.
history.
According to producers, True Life:
We Are Orlando will “shine the spotlight on survivors and
heroes from the attack and pays tribute to the victims and Orlando's
LGBT community.”
In
a clip from the upcoming episode, a survivor of the shooting,
Tony, visits the makeshift memorial outside the Pulse nightclub for
the first time since being released from the hospital.
Tony says that he has to visit the
memorial to pay his respects.
True Life: We Are Orlando airs
on MTV Monday, August 15.
