The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the
nation's largest LGBT rights advocate, has turned its D.C.
headquarters into a memorial to the 49 victims of last weekend's
attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando.
The attack on the Pulse nightclub was
the deadliest mass shooting on U.S. soil.
Images of the 49 victims along with the
message “We Are Orlando” were installed in the group's front
windows, creating an 8-story memorial.
“As we continue to mourn around the
globe, our hearts, thoughts and prayers remain in Orlando,” HRC
said in a blog post.
The group has also created an online
vigil for the victims and the dozens wounded in the massacre
where users can post messages.
