A sixty-nine-year-old Southern
California man allegedly shot and killed his wife and son on Tuesday.
Officials believe that he killed his son because he was gay.
Shehada Khalil Issa (pictured) shot his
son, Amir Issa, 29, outside his Los Angeles home in the area known as
North Hills. His wife's body was found in the bathroom, the Los
Angeles County District Attorney's Office said.
Prosecutors allege that the father had
previously threatened to kill his son because of his sexual
orientation.
Officials said they are looking into
the mother's death.
Shehada Issa is being held without
bail. He faces one count of willful, deliberate and premeditated
murder, prosecutors
said. If convicted as charged, he could receive a sentence of
life in prison without the possibility of parole.
