MTV's documentary series True Life
will look at the life of a gay teen struggling with his church's
rejection of his sexuality.
Each episode of the Emmy Award-winning
True Life follows a particular topic.
In Fighting My Faith, which
premieres Monday, viewers are introduced to an openly gay young man
whose Southern Baptist church does not accept his sexuality.
A
promo for the show describes him as having lived a life of
“partying and promiscuity.”
“Though many Christians accept gay
people, he has joined a Southern Baptist church that accepts neither
his sexuality, nor his wild ways,” a woman says in the promo for
the episode.
True Life: Fighting My Faith
premieres Monday, February 8 on MTV.
