Personal trainer, author and television
personality Jillian Michaels says she and girlfriend Heidi Rhoades
are having an “ongoing dialogue” on whether to marry.
The 41-year-old Michaels is best known
for her appearances on NBC's The Biggest Loser and Losing
It with Jillian and CBS' The Doctors.
Her 8-part docu-series Just Jillian
premiered Tuesday on E!
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight,
Jillian was asked whether the pair would marry.
“What is the current status of your
relationship?” the interviewer asked.
“Right now, [we're] having an ongoing
dialogue, that's what I'll say,” Michaels
answered. “We come from very different backgrounds. And I
think to a certain extent, right, that's what makes it work.”
The couple is raising five-year-old
daughter Lukensia (“Lu”) and three-year-old son Phoenix.
Michaels also told ET that she was
“homophobic” growing up.
“I was homophobic because I obviously
didn't know that I was gay and I was like, 'That's gross. That's
disgusting. That's weird,'” she said. “And when [Madonna kissed
another woman in the video for Justify My Love] I was like,
'Okay, that's not gross or disgusting.' It kind of allowed me to
figure out who I was.”
