Kohl's on Tuesday released a
heartwarming holiday ad celebrating togetherness which includes a
scene of a family toasting a gay couple.
The 30-second spot, titled Celebrating
Togetherness, shows a diverse family preparing for a holiday
feast to the tune of the Beatles' All Together Now.
The ad conveys the warmth of the
holiday season by showing a young boy helping his grandmother in the
kitchen, people sharing and laughing and a puppy being fed under the
table.
Near the end of the commercial, family
members toast a male gay couple who are holding each other at the
head of the dinner table, suggesting a possible recent engagement.
“Everything for entertaining
everyone,” a woman says in a voice-over.
The ad is part of the retailer's
#AllTogetherNow campaign.
