Rafael Cruz, father of Texas Senator
and GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz, on Wednesday stated that a
goal of the LGBT community is to “legalize pedophilia.”
Political Research Associates published
video of Cruz's remarks, which he made while speaking to J.
Lester Feder of BuzzFeed News at the World Congress of Families
taking place in Salt Lake City.
The exchange happened after Cruz
participated in a WCF panel on Marriage and the Family.
“During the panel, several speakers
alluded to a connection between LGBT people and pedophilia. Do you
think that's true?” Feder asked, then asked if he thought “the
LGBT community is going to push that?”
“Yes, I believe so,” Cruz
answered.
