Stars from two of Netflix's shows
attended this weekend's giant Gay Pride parade in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Three actresses who play lesbian
inmates in Orange is the New Black and at least two actors
from the new series Sense8 attended
one of the world's largest Gay Pride events. Several of the stars
waved at revelers from atop a giant Netflix float as it made its way
down the streets of Sao Paulo.
Orange is the New Black's
Samira Wiley, Natasha Lyonne and Uzo Aduba and Sense8's
Miguel Angel Silvestre and Naveen Andrews joined the giant party.
Sense8,
a play on the word sensate, was created by Andy and Lana Wachowski
(The Matrix) and
premiered Friday on Netflix. Among its characters is a lesbian
transgender woman played by Jamie Clayton.
Orange is the New Black
tweeted a photo of Lyonne and Aduba from the parade with the caption,
“Our girls know how to party.”
