Stephen Fry On Engagement To Elliott Spencer: I Feel Like A Dippy Teenager

British actor-tv personality Stephen Fry says he's “delighted” with his engagement to boyfriend Elliot Spencer.

Fry, 57, and Spencer, a 27-year-old stand-up comic, have reportedly been dating since last year.

On Tuesday, Fry confirmed a The Sun report that the couple had given formal notice to wed at a register in Dereham, Norfolk.

“I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!” he tweeted.

Fry, who will host the EE British Academy Film Awards (Bafta) for the 10^th time in February, joined actor Sam Clafin (Hunger Games) (pictured with Fry) in announcing this year's nominees.

When congratulated by a reporter on his engagement, Fry answered: “I'm really happy. So delighted. Who could have believed it was possible? Isn't it wonderful? In Britain. It's great. Thank you Mrs. Queen for signing the royal assent on that bill, the equal marriages. I feel like a dippy teenager.”
