Fox News' Shepard Smith, ABC's Amy
Robach and CNN's Don Lemon were among the journalist included in a
selfie from the National Lesbian & Gay Journalist Association's
(NLGJA) 19th annual gala.
The gathering took place Thursday at
the Prince George Ballroom in New York City and reportedly raised
$65,000
for NLGJA.
“#Ellen has nothing on our @nlgja
selfie,” Lemon, 48, tweeted to his more than 230,000 followers, a
reference to Ellen DeGeneres' record shattering celebrity selfie from
the Oscars.
In addition to Lemon, Smith and Robach,
the selfie, a mix of gay and straight media faces, includes CNN's
Ashleigh Banfield, Fox's Jamie Colby, CNN's Gerri Willis, MSNBC's
Ronan Farrow, Fox's Rick Reichmuth, CNN's Javi Morgado, NBC's Tiki
Barber and Fox's Sally Kohn.
Also attending the event hosted by
Robach were Josh Barro (The New York Times), Jason Bellini
(The Wall Street Journal), Bethenny Frankel (Bethenny),
LZ Granderson (ESPN, CNN), Thomas Roberts (MSNBC), Jenna Wolfe (NBC
News) and Noah Michelson (HuffPost Gay Voices).
