CNN anchor Anderson Cooper assumed Seth
Meyers was gay when they first met at the “world's gayest gym.”
Cooper on Monday appeared as a guest on
NBC's Late Night, where he reminisced with host Seth Meyers,
who married Alexi Ashe last year, about how they met at a gym.
“It was pretty much the gayest gym on
the planet,” Cooper said. “And I assumed you were gay, 'cause
there weren't a lot of other reasons to be there.”
“I would say this, it was before you
officially came out, so I assumed it was straight 'cause you were
there,” Meyers responded.
“That I do not believe for a second,”
Cooper said.
Meyers explained that the gym had three
levels: gay friendly, gay curious and “just full of gays.”
“To get to the bottom level you had
to go behind the candelabra,” Meyers joked.
