Actors Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler
Ferguson, who play a gay couple on the ABC hit comedy Modern
Family, have recorded a video for a group campaigning to legalize
gay marriage in Australia.
In the 90-second video for the
Australian Marriage Equality's We're
Waiting campaign, the two men lament the lack of marriage
equality Down Under.
The promotional clip was produced while
the show filmed an episode in Australia. (The video is embedded on
this page. Visit

Ferguson last year married lawyer
Justin Mikita in New York. In 2012, the pair founded Tie the Knot,
which raises awareness and funds for marriage equality by selling
unique bow ties.
In January, Ferguson
pledged $10,000 to Australia's marriage equality campaign.
Australia's highest court last year
ruled that only the federal government has the authority to regulate
marriage. The Labor Party has pledged to introduce a same-sex
marriage bill if Australia's ruling Coalition offers its members a
free vote.
