Saturday Night Live alum Tim
Meadows will play gay in an upcoming NBC sitcom.
The 53-year-old Meadows will play Kevin
in the comedy pilot Marry Me, which
will be executive produced by David Caspe (Happy
Endings).
According to Deadline.com,
the comedy, directed by Seth Gordon, revolves around young couple
Annie (played by Casey Wilson, Happy Endings) and Jake (Ken
Marino, Children's Hospital) who get engaged to marry, only to
find out it's harder than they realized.
Meadows, who currently can be seen
playing a recurring character on ABC's Suburgatory, plays one
of Annie's two dads.
While both Meadows and Wilson appeared
on NBC's Saturday Night Live, their stints did not overlap.
The single-camera Marry Me is
from Sony TV and Fanfare, which is headed by Jamie Tarses.
