Madonna will join Seattle-based duo
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis during their live performance of the gay
marriage anthem Same Love at Sunday's Grammys.
According to US
Weekly, Madonna and Macklemore will take the stage together
at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis received 7
Grammy nominations, including best new artist and best rap
performance. Their second studio album The Heist is up for
album of the year and best rap album. The single Thrift Shop is
up for best rap song, while the video for Can't Hold Us
is nominated for best music video.
Same Love
is competing in the Song of the Year category against Just
Give Me a Reason (Pink,
featuring Nate Ruess), Locked Out of Heaven
(Bruno Mars), Roar
(Katy Perry) and Royals
(Lorde).
At
last year's MTV Video Music Awards, Jennifer Hudson put in a surprise
performance, joining Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and vocalist Mary
Lambert during their live
performance of Same
Love.
