Robert Marucci, the 18-year-old senior
at Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Florida suspended over a gay porn
career, returned to class Wednesday.
Marucci told CNN
affiliate WKMG that he started his work in porn to help his
mother make ends meet.
Marucci became the target of bullies
after students discovered x-rated photos online, his mother, Melyssa
Lieb said.
“He was bullied. He was threatened,”
she told the network.
“I think that it is Dr. Soliven's
moral and her personal beliefs and I don't think that this is
anybody's business except for my son's,” Lieb said, a reference to
Principal Stephanie Soliven. “The children at the school found
[the images], and she didn't do anything to stop it.”
Marucci “was expelled due to his
explicit lifestyle career,” Lieb claimed
School officials, however, said Marucci
was suspended over “possible threats” he made.
Marucci, who appeared on Sean Cody
under the name Noel, served four days of a ten day suspension that
threatened his graduation in May.
“I feel like I have been treated
unfairly and this is unjust,” Marucci said. “This is completely
legal. I didn't break any laws, and this took place out of the
school.”
On Friday, dozens of students staged a
walkout at the school in support of Marucci.
