Gay glossy Out Traveler editors on Tuesday named Las Vegas their favorite American city to visit of 2013; second place went to San Francisco.

Editors said in announcing their winner that Las Vegas “is becoming a town LGBT travelers can whole-heartedly embrace.”

What does Sin City have to offer LGBT travelers? A whole lot, according to Out Traveler.

“There is no shortage of watering holes and dance arenas for gays and lesbians,” the magazine's editors wrote. “The city's Pride event is sponsored by the area's biggest employers … The casinos are not shy about encouraging queer travelers … Of course, we can't forget the diva factor, from Britney to Celine to Elton to Michael Jackson, that reigns supreme in the city thanks to numerous Strip residencies.”

Editors also hailed the city as a destination for art lovers, who will be captivated by the city's architecture, and foodies.
