Actor Maulik Pancholy discussed for the first time publicly his 9-year relationship with another man.

Pancholy, who is best known for playing Jonathan, Jack Donaghy's (played by Alec Baldwin) assistant on NBC's now-canceled sitcom 30 Rock, made his remarks as part of gay glossy Out's Out100, the magazine's annual list of notable LGBTs.

β€œI just celebrated my nine-year anniversary with my partner,” Pancholy told Out. β€œIt feels like a nice time to be celebrating something like that, especially on the heels of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions.”

Pancholy, 39, came to pubic notice playing Sanjay Patel on Showtime's Weeds. He currently plays another Sanjay in cabler Nickelodeon's animated series Sanjay and Craig.

Out's special double issue hits newsstands later this month.
