Matthew Morrison, who plays choir
director Will Schuester on the Fox musical-comedy Glee, says
he supports his gay friends.
The 35-year-old Morrison, who in June
released his sophomore studio album Where It All Began, made
his remarks during a recent appearance on HuffPost Live.
Host Alyona Minkovsi asked Morrison
whether he's frustrated with persistent questions about his sexual
orientation.
“I don't really care, to be honest,
what people think. You know, I know my own truth, I'm very happy, a
very happy heterosexual man,” Morrison answered.
“I have a lot of gay friends. I'm a
big supporter of gay rights and gay marriage. And I think it's
something that, you know, this is America, this is the land of
freedom and opportunity and I think it's kind of crazy that a loving
and committed gay or lesbian couple can't marry just because they're
different. So, I support my gay friends and they support me,” he
added. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit
