Singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson's video for the single 'Tie It
Up' features wedding photos from fans, including gay couples.
The 31-year-old Clarkson, who is in the process of planning her
own wedding to talent manager Brandon Blackstock, plays the ultimate
wedding singer in the video.
In the video, Clarkson stomps her boots and flashes her own
engagement ring, along with a wink, as she celebrates a country barn
wedding. In the final frame, Clarkson catches the wedding bouquet.

The American Idol alum has previously endorsed marriage
equality.
Last October, Clarkson said that she would probably vote for
President Barack Obama despite being “a Republican at heart”
because “I can't support [Mitt] Romney's policies as I have a lot
of gay friends and I don't think it's fair they can't get married.”
However, commenters on a
GLAAD post of the video said they felt “disappointed” that
Clarkson had not included more gay couples among the dozens of
couples featured.
“I expected more from Kelly,” read one comment.
“Not so well represented of gay couples getting married in this
video as we might like,” wrote another. “Would have been nicer
if gay couples would have been dancing in the clip where the singer
was. … However, we have to start someplace and Kelly Clarkson is a
supporter of gay rights.”
Clarkson and Blackstock are planning to marry in the fall in
Nashville.
