Interior designer Nate Berkus will return to television next
spring.
Berkus' daytime talk show The Nate Berkus Show was canceled
after two seasons last year.
He'll return to the tube as the host and executive producer of the
NBC primetime series Renovation Nation, a home makeover
competition show.
According to Variety, the program will feature two teams
traveling the nation and transforming homes. Berkus will evaluate
their results and the losing team in each episode will have to
eliminate a contestant from its team. The winner will be determined
by viewers during a live finale. Two lucky viewers will receive
dream homes during the finale.
“I'm working with NBC,” Berkus recently told CNN. “I'm
producing and hosting and judging a new design competition show. It
will air next spring.”
The 41-year-old Berkus recently got engaged to Jeremiah Brent, an
alum of Bravo's The Rachel Zoe Project. The couple recently
opened up their Hollywood home to Harper's Bazaar.
