Scott Thorson, Liberace's former lover,
cheers daring sex scenes between Matt Damon and Michael Douglas in
Liberace biopic.
Liberace is the subject of the film
Behind the Candelabra, which premiered last month in the
United States on pay cable network HBO. The film is based on a book
written by Thorson.
Damon plays Thorson in the film, while
Douglas plays Liberace.
Appearing on cabler Current's Say
Anything, Thorson, who was recently bailed out of jail by Dennis
Hof, the owner of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, the infamous Nevada
brothel, said that he was very “proud” of the film's faithfulness
to his book.
“They followed Behind the
Candelabra right to a tee, the book. It was based on a love
story and I was very proud,” he told host Joy Behar.
“And what daring scenes, especially
the sex scenes. … There was some hardcore sex scenes there,”

Hof explained that he came to Thorson's
rescue because he's basically “a good guy.” Thorson was arrested
in February on charges of identity theft and burglary for using
stolen credit cards.
