Anderson Cooper's partner Benjamin
Maisani is preparing to open his third bar in New York City.
According to commercial real estate
blog Commercial
Observer, Maisani and his business partner Pablo Raimondi are
working on a 5,000-square-foot restaurant and bar at 753 Ninth Avenue
in Hell's Kitchen, one of New York City's trendiest gay
neighborhoods.
Maisani and Raimondi, who together own
a company called Oxido, already operate two bars in New York City:
the gay and Soviet-themed bar Eastern Bloc and the straight-friendly
bar Bedlam. Both bars are located in the East Village.
James Famularo, a broker at NYCRS,
called brokering the deal “very challenging.”
“Finalizing this deal was a long
process and sometimes very challenging – the former tenant Vintage
Bar was there for 17 years and did not want to leave,” he said.
“But with everyone's help we did it. We are all excited for them
to open. I'm sure they will create something amazing!”
