Chris Evans appeared with his gay
brother Scott Evans and their mother Lisa Evans at Saturday's 24th
Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles.
The ceremony was hosted by Drew
Barrymore, who told the crowd that “we must hand over our world to
our children with equality for all.”
Jennifer Lawrence and Harvey Weinstein
presented President Bill Clinton with GLAAD's inaugural Advocate for
Change Award.

Chris Evans is best know for his
superhero roles as Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) in Fantastic
Four and Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer and
Steve Rogers (Captain America) in Captain America: The First
Avenger and The Avengers. His younger brother Scott Evans
is best know for playing gay police officer Oliver Fish on ABC's One
Life to Live. Lisa Evans played his mother on the daytime soap.
“Tonight, I'm coming out as an ally
for equality,” Chris told the crowd. “And I already came out,”
Scott said. Lisa added, “And I've known since the day he was
born.” “And I've never cared either way,” Chris followed up.
