Actor Dave Franco believes people watching him in several gay roles will come away thinking he's gay.

But the 27-year-old Franco says in an interview with Michigan gay weekly Between The Lines that he's just “trying to blur the lines.”

In one of the videos, titled Go F*ck Yourself, Franco's character meets himself in a bar after his girlfriend, in the course of breaking up with him, tells him to “go fuck yourself.” Following a day of fun and frolic at the beach, the men are seen in bed together.

“It's not like I'm doing these videos because I'm trying to shock or confuse people,” Franco said. “I'm generally drawn toward material that's just different and unique and is gonna maybe surprise people a bit.”

“I have gay friends and of course I'm comfortable enough with my sexuality that I'm open to doing videos like that. I know a huge audience is going to think that I am gay. I'm just trying to blur the lines, I guess. I'm not consciously trying to do that, but it's not something I think about. Like with my friends who are gay, it's not like that's the first thing I associate with them. They're just another friend, and they just happen to like guys.”

Franco, the younger brother of James Franco, stars in the upcoming zombie comedy film Warm Bodies.
