Madonna over the weekend dedicated a song to Lady Gaga, saying she was flattered by the “imitation.”

“I love her. I love her. I do love her. Imitation is the highest form of flattery,” she said in dedicating her track Masterpiece from her 12th studio album MDNA to Lady Gaga.

Madonna has previously said she thought Lady Gaga's track Born This Way sounded “familiar” to her 1989 dance hit Express Yourself.

She told ABC News' Cynthia McFadden that it feels “reductive.”

“Is that good?” McFadden asked.

“Look it up,” Madonna calmly answered.

For the record, McFadden noted, “reductive” means “simplified” or “crude.”

The Queen of Pop suggested in her latest remarks – made during a performance in Atlantic City – that her feud with Lady Gaga was cooling.

“And one day, very soon, we're going to be on the stage together,” she told the audience. “Just you wait.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
