A report is quoting a source as saying
slain Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens was gay.
Stevens, 52, died last week at the
hands of an angry mob who stormed the U.S. consulate in Benghazi,
Libya. He is survived by his brother Thomas, a 46-year-old with the
Justice Department in San Francisco, and his sister, Anne, a doctor
in Seattle.
The AP described Stevens as “a
self-effacing bachelor with a wry sense of humor who drank beer,
dated women and liked outdoor sports.”
But Kevin DuJan of HillBuzz quotes an
unnamed diplomatic source as identifying Stevens as gay.
“It was stupid to send him to Libya
as the ambassador when he was a known homosexual,” the man
identified as “Dino” who works at the Serbian consulate told
DuJan inside Second Story, a gay bar in downtown Chicago.
Citing the Lebanese publication
Tayyar.org, the AFP reported that Stevens was sodomized before his
death.
“It is like making him a woman in
death and he will be a woman now after life,” Dino said.
DuJan is the journalist who recently
told conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi that President Barack Obama is
secretly gay.
