Web series the Hunting Season,
described as the gay version of Sex and the City, premiered
Wednesday.
The series follows the sexual exploits
of Alex (played by Ben Baur), a gay Gawker.com blogger, and is based
on the wildly popular blog The Great Cock Hunt, which was
published between 2005 and 2008.
The first three episodes were posted on
the website of gay cabler Logo.
The show is described by producers as
“a real-life (nudity included) glimpse into the world of gay Gotham
twenty-somethings, and is unflinching in its portrayal of friendship,
sex, lies, loyalty and ambivalence.”
In the show's premiere episode, Alex
goes home with an anonymous trick he meets on the subway. The
coupling segues into a threesome when the man's roommate arrives and
nonchalantly dives in.
Uncensored downloads of the shows will
be available for purchase at HuntingSeason.tv.
