Drag performers Sharon Needles and
Pandora Boxx have released videos for the It Gets Better campaign.
The It Gets Better Project begun by gay
rights activist Dan Savage encourages troubled LGBT teens to not cave
in to bullies, because life eventually gets better.
Sharon Needles, the 30-year-old winner
of RuPaul's Drag Race season 4, encouraged teens in her
60-second video to look inward for courage.
“Take all that pain that you get
every single day … Take every time you are called a faggot and turn
it into something that makes you a stronger person,” Needles said.

Pandora Box, who appeared on RuPaul's
Drag Race season 2, said she struggled with suicide in high
school.
“Life opens up after your teenage
years; they can feel so horrible and traumatic. But it's just a
phase. Once you get past that you'll see that the whole world opens
up and blossoms for you to be who you were meant to be. So don't let
the world not experience who you are. Because you are fabulous, you
are wonderful, and we need you. And remember it gets better,” she
said.
