Chloe Sevigny has joined the third
season of cabler Independent Film Channel's (IFC) Portlandia.
Sevigny, who was last seen playing a
transgender hit woman in the UK drama Hit & Miss, will
move in with Fred (played by Fred Armisen) and Carrie (Carrie
Brownstein) when the hipster comedy returns in January.
The sketch comedy, written by Armisen
(Saturday Night Live) and Brownstein (guitarist and vocalist
of Wild Flag), skewers Portland's hipster and activist culture.
A series of videos by comic Drew Droege
in which he impersonates Sevigny touches on some similar themes. (A
sample video is embedded on this page. Visit
our video library for more videos.)
Portlandia guests stars have
included Sarah McLachlan, Penny Marshall, Jeff Goldblum, Kristen
Wiig, Aubrey Plaza, Jason Sudeikis, Tim Robbins, and Gus Van Sant.
According to Entertainment
Weekly, Kyle MacLauchlan will return to play the mayor of
Portland.
