Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has released a video in which she says she is happy to stand with Chick-Fil-A.

“I'm honored to say that I'm here today at Chick-Fil-A, this is August first, and this is customer appreciation [day], and we are here because we are standing with the Cathys, stand with the family,” Bachmann said in the 20-second video.

“Thank you Chick-Fil-A,” she added. “I'm happy to stand with you.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

Wednesday's Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day called on conservatives to patronize the eateries to support CEO Dan Cathy. Cathy created a firestorm of protest when he said that gay marriage is “inviting God's judgment on our nation.”

The event, organized by former Arkansas Governor and Baptist minister Mike Huckabee, drew thousands of people to the fast-food chain's more than 1,600 stores, most of which are in the South.

Gay rights activists have responded with Friday's National Same-Sex Kiss Day at Chick-Fil-A.
