50 Cent says he has no issue with Frank Ocean's recent revelation that he was once in love with a man.

Ocean, whose real name is Christopher Francis Ocean, made the disclosure earlier this month in a blog post on his website. He is being credited as the first mainstream hip-hop artist to come out.

The 24-year-old Ocean, a member of the collective Odd Future, said in the post that his “first love” was another man.

“By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping, no negotiating to the women I had been with, the ones I cared for and thought I was in love with.”

Ocean added that his feelings were not reciprocated.

In comments to MTV News UK, Fiddy said, “Anyone that has an issue with Frank Ocean is an idiot.”

“I think Frank Ocean is a talented artist, I think he's created material that made me know his name, that impressed me, with things he said on a song like Novacane.”

50 Cent noted that the announcement was timed to Ocean's Channel Orange album release.

“It could be revolutionary or it could be a tragedy. You can call it brave or you can call it marketing, because it was intentional; it wasn't an accident,” he added.
