Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is
attacked for supporting gay rights in a new short film released by
social conservatives, media watchdog RightWingWatch.org
reported.
The video from Truth in Action
Ministries and titled Is Our Government Promoting Immorality?
laments Clinton's
2011 United Nations speech in which she said gay rights are human
rights and pledged to defend those rights at home and abroad.
“It
is a violation of human rights when people are beaten or killed
because of their sexual orientation, or because they do not conform
to cultural norms about how men and women should look or behave,”
Clinton said.
In
the film, Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention, called
Clinton's remarks insulting.
“This
is a flagrant insult in countries that still have traditional
morality, which is the majority of the countries of the world,”
Land said. “Whenever you go against God's law and you challenge
God's law and you have the effrontery and hubris of trying to
redefine one of God's institutions like marriage, you are putting
yourself in the place of judgment. There is no question in my mind,
God is already judging America and will judge her more harshly as we
continue to move down this path toward sexual paganization.” (The
